Week 9
Finishing the Term Well
It is hard to believe that we are already approaching the end of Term 3 and are nearly three-quarters of the way through the school year. We are also nearing the end of my first term at the School, during which I have had many opportunities to get to know our students, staff and families.
One of the strongest impressions I have formed, and something I have mentioned before, is that we are a community that genuinely cares for one another. I see this in the commitment of our staff, the enthusiasm of our students, and the encouragement and involvement of our families.
It has been a big term within an already full year, and there is still much to enjoy and accomplish before we reach a well-earned break. Our staff remain focused on providing the care, support and learning our students need, right through to the final day.
Thank you for the welcome, encouragement and support you have shown me throughout my first term. Let’s continue to encourage one another and finish the term well together.

Vita Ritmo Success!
The Viva Ritmo Voices Choir, made up of 24 dedicated students from Years 3 to 5, has won the Primary Choir Section of the North of Perth Festival for the third consecutive year.
Performing on Thursday evening at The Rise in Maylands before a packed audience of parents, students and family members, the choir delivered two outstanding performances. Their first piece, Carry the Light, opened beautifully with a solo by Samantha Davy. They then entertained the audience with the energetic Lightning, earning praise from adjudicators for their clear articulation, expressive singing and exciting choreography.
The choir is directed by Miss Leah Guelfi and supported by Ms Hilary Price. They have now been invited to perform at the Winners’ Concert on Saturday 11 October, where they will receive the shield for Best Primary Choir and compete for additional cash prizes.
A special thank you goes to our talented accompanist, Mr David Goldfinch, for his outstanding support on the night.
Congratulations to all choir members on this remarkable achievement. We wish them the very best for the Winners’ Concert in October.
Student Sign out Ticket Trial
To help us keep all students safe and ensure our sign-out process runs smoothly, parents collecting a child early from school will now be given a collection ticket at Reception.
Once you have signed your child out, please take this ticket with you and present it to your child's teacher when collecting them. The ticket lets the teacher know that your child has been signed out correctly and that they can be released into your care.
If you head to the classroom before signing out at Reception, the teacher may ask you to return to Reception first to complete the sign-out process and collect your ticket. While we know this may sometimes feel like an extra step, it helps us maintain accurate records and ensures we meet our duty of care responsibilities for every child.
Thank you for your support and understanding as we trial this process. As always, our shared priority is making sure every child is safe and accounted for throughout the school day.
Thank you for all you do to support our school community.
⭐ Footy Colours Day – Friday 25th September ⭐
Next Friday, the 25th, students are invited to come to school dressed in their favourite sporting team colours to help support the Fight Cancer Foundation, which provides vital assistance to children undergoing cancer treatment.
Our school will be making a donation to the foundation using funds raised from last year’s Lapathon, showing our continued commitment to helping kids in need.
Students can dress in their favourite AFL, NRL, soccer, or other sporting team jersey, scarf, or beanie to join in the fun and show their support.
Thank you for helping us make a difference.
