A message from the Acting Head of Primary School
The Importance of Tonight
Our Y2-5 Meet the Teacher Evening takes place tonight, and I strongly encourage all families to make every effort to attend. This is an integral event in our school calendar as it marks the beginning of the important partnership between parents and teachers that supports each child’s learning journey throughout the year.
While we will share summary handbooks from the evening on Wednesday, these documents are not a substitute for being there in person. Hearing directly from your child’s teacher allows you to gain a much deeper understanding of their approach, expectations, and priorities for the year ahead. More importantly, it gives you the opportunity to experience firsthand the compassion, empathy, professionalism, and warmth that they bring to their role each day.
The presentation in the Chapel tonight is also essential for parents to attend. It will outline the direction of the Primary School for the year ahead and provide important insight into key areas such as our approach to behaviour, the challenge with student attention, and the vital partnership between parents and the school. Families will also hear from our specialist teachers and learn about the rich and exciting opportunities available to students across their subject areas.
Strong relationships between home and school are built on connection and communication. Tonight is the first and important step in establishing that shared commitment to your child’s success.
