Small Group Careers workshops will be running in Week 1 of Term 4, so swing by for a chat, some support, and some helpful tips for your future.
Three different work shops are available.
Get started preparing for work with Resume writing, cover letters and and where and how you can start the job searching adventure. Students will also discover some of the gap year opportunities.
This workshop is designed to guide students through the process of applying to university via TISC (Tertiary Institutions Service Centre). Students will learn how to navigate the TISC website, understand key dates and deadlines, choose preferences wisely, and avoid common application mistakes. The session will also cover early offers, offer rounds, and tips for making informed decisions about courses and institutions.
- Full Time TAFE Applications
This workshop supports students interested in applying for full-time TAFE courses. It covers how to explore available courses with different training providers, to understand entry requirements, complete the online application process, and prepare supporting documents. Students will also get tips on choosing the right course, meeting deadlines, and accessing further support if needed. Semester 1 TAFE applications close 31 October 2025.
- Apprenticeships and Traineeships
This workshop is designed to help students explore apprenticeship and traineeship pathways. It covers how to find opportunities, understand entry requirements, apply through relevant platforms, and prepare for interviews. Students will also learn about employer expectations, training organisations, and how to access support services during their training journey.
