The Ribbon is Cut – The Junior School Playground is Officially Open!

On Friday, 19 September, invited guests and members of our community joined our Year 2 and 3 students to celebrate the official opening of the Junior School Adventure Playground with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Guests were warmly welcomed with addresses from Mr Mark Douglas (Head of Primary School), Mr Franzl Shannon (Chair of St Mark’s Council), and Mr Nirbhay Gupta (Chair of the P&F Association). Each speaker reflected on the significance of this project — highlighting the joy, inclusion, and opportunities for growth that the new playground brings to every child in our Junior School.

The ceremony concluded with Mr Steven Davies (Principal) joining Mr Douglas, Mr Shannon, and Mr Gupta in cutting the ribbon, marking the playground’s official opening. With great excitement, the Year 2 and 3 students enjoyed the new play space, exploring its many features with laughter and energy.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the talented team at DG Landscaping for their creativity, dedication, and hard work in bringing this outstanding playground to life. Special thanks also go to the P&F Association for their vision and generous financial support, which made this project possible for the benefit and enjoyment of our students.
