Naming Our Spaces

We are excited to share that, as part of our “Walking Together, Naming Country” initiative, key spaces at St Mark’s have now been officially named in Nyungar language!

These names, launched at our recent St Mark’s Day, honour the deep history and culture of the Joondalup region and reflect our ongoing commitment to reconciliation.

This journey, guided by Moodjar Consultancy and Professor Len Collard, involved research, on-country learning, and collaboration across our community. The Cafeteria, Quadrangle, Junior School green space, and both Ovals now proudly carry meaningful Nyungar names.
