Celebrating Japanese Immersion at St Mark’s

This year we’re pleased to welcome several students from Japan as part of our growing immersion program at St Mark’s.

Through our partnership with AngliSchools International, the School is developing a strong connection with Salesian International School in Tokyo. As Salesian introduces the WACE curriculum for Year 11, the partnership gives their students the opportunity to experience learning in an Australian classroom and get a feel for life at St Mark’s.

In 2026 we are hosting two long-term Japanese immersion students who will spend the full academic year with us. They have already settled into school life and are enjoying being part of classes, activities and the wider St Mark’s community.

We are also welcoming two visiting Year 10 students from Salesian International School who are considering joining St Mark’s for Year 11 in 2027. Their visit allows them to experience Australian school life, meet students and take part in day-to-day activities around the School.

Later this month we will also host four students from Osaka Gakuin University High School in Osaka for a short-term immersion visit. During their stay they will join classes, meet new friends and experience everyday life at St Mark’s.

Programs like this give our students a chance to learn more about other cultures, build friendships and see the world from a different perspective, while our visiting students experience Australian school life and our community.

We look forward to welcoming all of our Japanese visitors and hope they enjoy their time at St Mark’s.
