Celebrating 40 Years of Service: Mrs McKibbin Honoured at Our First Assembly

Our first whole-school assembly of the year included a truly special and heartfelt moment, as we took the opportunity to recognise and celebrate one of St Mark’s most treasured staff members.

We were incredibly proud to honour Mrs McKibbin, our wonderful Head of Library, for an extraordinary 40 years of service to St Mark’s Anglican Community School.

Mrs McKibbin is not only one of our longest-serving staff members — she is also a Foundation Staff Member, having been part of the St Mark’s story from the very beginning. Her contribution over four decades has helped shape the heart, spirit and culture of our School in countless ways.

Throughout her time at St Mark’s, Mrs McKibbin has worn many hats with dedication and grace. In the Primary School, she has served as a Year 1 and 2 Teacher, and also taught Physical Education, Academic Extension, Education Support, Music, and of course, Library. In the Secondary School, she has taken on leadership roles including Acting Head of Year, Acting Head of House, and PCG Tutor, guiding three different groups of students through important years of their schooling.

No matter the role, Mrs McKibbin has always been known for her unwavering care, wisdom and support. Her warmth, generosity of spirit, and genuine love for the St Mark’s community have made a lasting impact on students, staff and families alike.

We are deeply grateful for everything Mrs McKibbin has given to St Mark’s over the past 40 years — her dedication has helped shape generations of learners and left an enduring legacy within our School.

Congratulations Mrs McKibbin, and thank you for everything. You truly are the heart of our School!
