The Secondary Interhouse Athletics Carnival is coming up this Friday. It is a big undertaking to get all students prepared for travel to the State Athletics Stadium, and we need your help to ensure everything goes smoothly.
Attendance at the Interhouse Athletics Carnival is compulsory for all secondary students and they are expected to be present for the whole day. All students are able to contribute in a positive way to their House team’s effort, whether that be as a competitor who has been nominated for an event or events, as an official with duties on the day, or as a spectator and supporter of those who are competing. Students are required to travel with their House groups on the buses to the Stadium, and to return on the buses to School. Students will be dismissed at the usual time.
All students are to go straight to their normal House meeting venue when the bell rings at 8.30am. They will need to have their sports bag with them. The roll will be marked, and students will be assigned a competitor number. Under the guidance of their PCG teachers and Head of House, students will board the buses.
- CARNLEY: Bottom floor of the Senior Academic Centre
- CHALLEN: Hall
- MOYES: Floreat
- WATKINS: Pavilion
Students are responsible for bringing all personal medications and to ensure that they keep it with them on the day. This could include asthma inhalers, epipens, antihistamines, and insulin. If required, please collect any medications from the Wellness Centre prior to leaving school, or contact the School Nurse.
A crew from St John's Ambulance will also be present.
Students are required to wear their House uniform with appropriate sports shoes, and as the weather is expected to be chilly, we advise them to wear their School tracksuit. School hat, rain jacket and sunscreen should also be brought along in their sports bag - we also recommend bringing their sports uniform to change into if it does rain. Only Year 12s are allowed to dress up, although they are expected to wear their House uniform when competing.
Students should bring their own water, lunch and snacks, or money to purchase food from the Stadium Kiosk or Boost Juice van.
Parents and friends are welcome to attend! The program is available to download here.
