Junior School Art Teacher, Jeanette Rengel, is looking for the little soy-filled plastic fishes that are often included with sushi packs.
Mrs Rengel is looking for a few hundred of these for a major project reflecting on waste and sustainable fishing as part of the preparations for the 2010 Joondalup Lantern Festival, which is themed around the Ocean. Mrs Rengel's plan is to fit bud lights into them and hang them from fishing poles.
If you are a keen sushi fan, please keep the fishes for her. Just rinse them out and pop them into a bag, and send them to Junior School Art room once you have a few to donate. Please keep the lids as well. This will be an ongoing project for the next six months, so please remember to keep the little fishes aside.
