Girls Programming Network
The Girls' Programming Network (GPN) is a program developed and run by girls and for girls. Managed by a group of female IT students from ECU, it's targeted at high school girls in years 7-12 interested in IT, particularly those interested in learning to program or improving their software development skills. It is held one Saturday each school term, at ECU Joondalup, where the School of Science run a full day workshop with activities teaching coding both on and off the screen. Register online.
The dates are:
- Term 1: March 14th, 10am - 4pm
- Term 2: May 9th, 10am - 4pm
- Term 3: August 8th, 10am - 4pm
- Term 4: October 31st, 10am - 4pm
Rotary Youth Exchange Information Day
The Rotary Youth Exchange Program offers students aged 15 to 18 the opportunity to undertake an international exchange for a twelve-month period. Rotary is running an information day on Sunday 23 February for interested students and their families. Download flyer for more information.
