The Primary School at St Mark’s caters for 554 boys and girls in two excellent facilities from Kindergarten through to Year 6. The Early Learning Centre consists of two classes in each of Kindergarten, Pre-Primary and Year 1. The main Primary School Campus consists of two classes in each of Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4. The Year 5 and Year 6 classes are triple streamed. Education Assistants are employed at all year levels ensuring that the ratio of adult to student remains high.
The educational emphasis for Primary Students, which embraces enquiry-based learning and teaching, is on communication skills, literacy and numeracy skills, physical education, music, spiritual and cultural development. The Primary School is committed to catering for individual academic social needs of all students, hence the School's strong learning support program.
Primary students may also choose to participate in a variety of extra- and co-curricular activities, including Chess, Robotics, Karate, Drama, Art/Craft, Choir, Band or other Music Ensembles, Dance and others. The options available vary each year.
